The National Pension and Provident Fund (NPPF) was established as an autonomous agency on March 30, 2000 to manage the pension and provident fund schemes of civil servants, state-owned corporation and armed forces. On 1 July 2002, the Government formally launched the National Pension and Provident Fund Plan (NPPFP) through the Executive Order to provide income security to the members on retirement and permanent disability. It also provides social support to the family members in the event of demise of a member while in service or after retirement.

1. Vacancy and Career opportunities in December 2021

The National Pension & Provident Fund is pleased to announce the following vacancies in

  • Organization: NPPF
  • Position Title: Chief
  • Vacancy Publish date: 30 December 2021

  • Place of Posting: Head Office, Thimphu
  • Eligibility: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (full time) in any field from a recognized university (preference will be given to candidates with master’s degree (full time) or any other degree equivalent / higher than master’s degree in relevant field from a recognized university while shortlisting)
  • Work Experience: Minimum of  total 10 years of work experience including a minimum of 7 years in relevant field; and Should have a minimum 3 years of work experience in a managerial role in grade 5 level or above.
  • Employment Type: Contract term of 3 years; and shall be renewable based on performance and MARS.

Remuneration Packages

Salary:

a. Basic Pay Nu. 55,000/- (Pay Scale 55,000 – 1,375 – 63,250)
b. Contract Allowance 40% of Basic Pay
c. Conveyance Allowance Nu. 5,000/-
d. Communication Allowance Nu. 2,000/-

Other Benefits:

e. Performance Based Variable Incentive (PBVI) and Annual Bonus as per NPPF SRR; and

f. Other entitlements as per NPPF SRR.

  • Eligibility: However, should be of age between 30 to 50 years old at the time of application.
  • Work experience: Minimum 5 years as Armed Forced Personnel; OR Minimum 10 years of experience as a Security Guard.
  • Employment: On Contract, The contract may be renewed after every 1 year based on need and performance till 2024 only.
