POSITION DESCRIPTION

  • Manage the General Construction segment of a.b.e on a national level, to drive and achieve budgeted volume and revenue targets through effective management of the team using tactics of persuasion and communication.
  • Drive general construction sales representatives to actively seek out and engage customer prospects.
  • Promote and sell all a.b.e. products to current and new clients.
  • To market the company’s products and services to the allocated customer portfolio.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • B-Eng (Civil, Construction) and or B-Degree in Marketing / Sales.
  • 5 years sales experience in the construction industry.
  • Computer Literate (MS Office).
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Sound administrative and organisational skills.
  • Previous negotiation skills required.
  • Prioritizing and time management.
  • Valid driver’s license.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Establish a.b.e. Construction Chemicals (Pty) Ltd as an efficient, professional sales company.
  • Lead and manage a diverse team to effectively achieve targets.
  • Utilize and manage outsourced specialist consultant.
  • Deal with speculative calls, aftercare and service calls.
  • Client visits- new and service- identify and follow up business leads.
  • Ensure a.b.e product specification on major contracts by you and your team building a close relationship with the applicable industry specialists.
  • Write proposal documents for specification and tender purposes.
  • Plan and carry out direct sales activities to agreed budgets, sales volumes, prices, values, product mix and timescales.
